Petroleum Service of Worcester established its roots in the 1930's when the Genatossio Bros. started a coal, ice and oil business. Seven brothers and two sisters worked the family business under their father Carlo Genatossio. It was hard work carrying ice, oil and coal by hand. The Company grew even through World War II when four of the brothers served their country in Europe and South Pacific. The younger siblings and their friends carried on the business. The company has experienced all ups and downs, the good and bad, of the oil business. The business is carried out today by grandson Carlo Genatossio, son of Philip "Red" Genatossio. It has expanded in other fields such as heating both natural gas and oil burners, as well as air conditioning. The company also operates a gasoline business that has served the grafton hill area for over 80 years.
